9 Brands We Loved from WELL Summit

Our inside the WELL Summit series brings you exclusive content from our Summit sponsors. This series also includes content from WELL Summit speakers and what you can look forward to if you attend the event.

WELL Summit 2019 was not just a weekend of learning and education from exciting experts. It brought together a beautiful collection of trusted wellness brands that we got to experience firsthand, sometimes for the first time. It was like the best curated online shopping trip, except we got to try and touch and test it all in person (because who really wants to buy an organic mattress online without trying it first?). Here are nine brands we were thrilled to meet in person at WELL Summit in Brooklyn.

Grove Collaborative

An amazing and growing lifestyle, home goods and personal care products brand, Grove Collaborative brings together a collection of safer, nontoxic products in their online shop. They help curate products you’ll love on a monthly basis, making it really easy to keep your home and your bathroom cabinet stocked with brands you can trust. They’ve also launched their own line of products, which we are already in love with.

MitoQ

We met MitoQ when we learned about how mitochondrial health is key to aging well. But at WELL Summit, we got to hear more about the brand in person, plus we got to chat with the brand’s team about how MitoQ is the only CoQ10 supplement that can penetrate our mitochondrial membrane, which can help to reduce oxidative stress on our bodies, help increase energy and be part of a preventative regime to combat disease. It’s one of the supplements we’re adding to our routines, stat.

Each & Every

We’re all about switching to natural deo, and we’ve tried a lot of different brands. Each & Every has a unique story and variation because they’re not just all-natural, but they’re vegan and baking-soda-free (a possible skin irritant) too. It can be tricky to find a brand that is really safe for sensitive skin, and this one is one of our new favorites.

Papa & Barkley

We first got to know Papa & Barkley when we chatted with their team about how to choose the best CBD oil for you. But we’ve also been testing their balm and tincture for anxiety and chronic pain, and we’ve got to say that it tops the list of CBD products we’ve tried. Talking to their team in person only solidified our love as we learned more about their unique extraction process, and how they avoid using toxic chemicals to get full-spectrum CBD from the hemp plant. This is certainly a brand you can trust, with no unnecessary additives and no contamination with possible hazardous ingredients.

Cora

We loved connecting with Molly Hayward, co-founder of period care brand Cora, but seeing their activation in the bathrooms at WELL Summit was next level. It created a beautiful space, the definition of a “rest” room, and it informed us about the mission of the brand too. With every purchase or monthly subscription of their period or bladder care, they donate period products to women and girls who otherwise wouldn’t have access to them. But the brand is also actively attempting to push the industry to become more transparent and to clean up the potentially toxic ingredients housed in many conventional period care products. It’s a big win-win.

Penguin Random House

We’re book lovers over here at WELL Summit, and chatting with Penguin Random House, a publisher that brings wellness topics to the masses in exciting ways. We previewed a few of the books they brought to WELL Summit in Brooklyn… and then we picked up a few hard copies to gift for the upcoming holidays.

Dyson Haircare

When we used to think “Dyson,” vacuum cleaners were the first thing that came to mind. But after the brand’s activation at WELL Summit, we now think incredible hair tools when we hear Dyson. Using cutting edge technology, the brand has created hair dryers and curling tools that use no extreme heat, but create styles faster than conventional brands. We were so impressed with the high-end styling Dyson’s team did on-site that we’re planning on snagging one for home use.

Birch by Helix

You basically spend one third of your life lying on your mattress, so it’s one of those things that really matters. Buying an organic, naturally made mattress is one of the ways that you can impact your health in big ways, without tons of effort. Birch Living by Helix is a great option not just because of how their mattresses are made (they have a list of eco-friendly certifications), but also because they’re super comfy—we know, because we got to try them in person at WELL Summit.

Kombrewcha

So, this isn’t the first time we’ve met Kombrewcha, but we love having this hard kombucha on-site for the Live WELL Party. It’s such a fun way to get your probiotics, and have a better-for-you cocktail too. The brand, which brews their kombucha to 3.2 percent alcohol by volume, creates a totally refreshing, delicious alcoholic bev that’s low in sugar, organic and gluten-free—and a fabulous mixer for a healthier cocktail.
