#MyCleanBeautyShelf: Allison Evans, Co-Founder of Branch Basics, Shares Her Morning Routine
Allison Evans is the co-founder of Branch Basics, a wellness brand that provides truly nontoxic cleaning products. After years of chronic pain in college that lead her to the country’s best doctors, she experienced true healing after ditching all toxins from her home, body care products and diet. This clean lifestyle also reversed polycystic ovary syndrome, allowing Allison to naturally and easily conceive two healthy baby girls. Now, she’s passionate about helping others experience “the power of pure”—and we can’t wait to see what she uses in her #MyCleanBeautyShelf.
My beauty philosophy is…
Less is more! I think a natural, fresh face with minimal makeup and “work” is so beautiful. Our skin is our largest organ, and I’m a big believer in using good-as-food products to nourish and beautify it.
First thing in the morning, I…
Drink a big glass of clean, room-temperature water and sip a small cup of bulletproof coffee.
My morning skincare routine
I skin brush from head to toe, then use my Primally Pure routine of oil cleansing, toning with their Everything and Complexion Sprays and finishing with Keys Tinted SPF 30 Moisturizer.
My morning haircare routine
Throwing it up in an embarrassingly messy bun because there’s just too little time for much else!
My morning makeup routine
Keys Tinted SPF Moisturizer, Pacifica Stellar Gaze Mascara (currently!) and Spot Treatment.
My favorite beauty tip
I truly believe beauty starts on the inside with what we eat and the products we use daily. I”m also big on skin brushing (incredible for the lymphatic system!) and getting a few minutes of direct sunlight on the skin (eyelids absorb very well!) each day. Most of us are vitamin D deficient, and this can also help regulate sleep by balancing serotonin and melatonin levels.
