#MyCleanBeautyShelf: What Naa-Sakle Akuete, CEO of Eu’Genia Shea, Uses In Her Daily Routine
After attending Wellesley College (with a stint at the London School of Economics), Naa-Sakle Akuete, CEO of Eu’Genia Shea, spent four years in finance working for Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital. Her position there entailed studying business models, understanding their opportunities and pitfalls, and being able to communicate these strategic opinions into a succinct investment decision. The majority of the companies in her purview produced consumer products.
In 2012, Naa-Sakle matriculated to Harvard Business School where she continued her focus on consumer goods, as well as manufacturing, social enterprises and family-run businesses. After graduation in 2014, she returned to finance where she served at J.P. Morgan as a U.S. Equity Analyst in the airline space before deciding to leave and jump into the agri space full-time with the founding of Naasakle International and delved into skincare with the launch of Eu’Genia Shea. So, what does a business powerhouse use in her daily beauty routine? She gave us a peek into her streamlined, simple-yet-effective rituals in the latest #MyCleanBeautyShelf.
My beauty philosophy is…
Beauty is being comfortable and confident.
First thing in the morning, I…
Take my retainer out.
My morning skincare routine
My morning haircare routine
Short hair doesn’t need much upkeep, so really just brushing (if that).
My morning makeup routine
Makeup makes my face tired, so I try to avoid it unless I’m trying to impress someone.
My favorite beauty tip
It’s so easy to neglect your skin, so just remember to keep it simple and make it a routine.
