New iPhone Mode is Apple Giving Us “Peace” from Screen Time

1 min read

Whether it’s hitting the power switch, transitioning to airplane mode or just turning your phone upside down so you don’t see the notifications rolling in, we can all relate to seeking out a digital detox here and there.

Luckily for us, Apple may be making this easier than ever when it rolls out iOS 12 in fall 2018. Internally nicknamed “Peace,” the new upgrades may address improvements to its “Do Not Disturb” features, allowing us to have even more control of how and when we interact with our screens. (Screen time #selfcare, anyone?)

If fall seems like too long to wait for more comprehensive DND features, we feel you. You can take matters into your own hands by customizing the “Do Not Disturb While Driving” messages on your iPhone to let your loved ones know you’re taking a break, taking a bath or taking your life back, one screen-free minute at a time.
