To Try This Weekend: Adult PB&J from Spread the Love

3 min read

Ever since we discovered the freshness of Spread the Love‘s nut butters and artisan jams, we’ve been putting the equivalent of PB&Js on everything: waffles, crackers, muffins, croissants. The minimalist ingredient lists (no fillers, preservatives or additives) and the fact that each product is made in true small batches makes a big difference in taste. To up our sophistication a bit and to tap into the minds of Spread the Love’s founders Valerie and Zachary Fishbain, we asked them to create a few adult PB&J recipes for us to try this weekend. Spoiler: We’re already drooling.

Ready in: 25 minutes
Serves: 4-6

  • 1 prepared pizza dough
  • 1 cup Spread The Love® NAKED CRUNCH Organic Peanut Butter
  • 8 teaspoons Spread The Love® RASPBERRY Artisan Jam

1. Place pizza dough on a pizza pan in the oven at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Let it cool for 2 minutes.
2. Spread peanut butter all over crust. Take a dollop of jam at a time and spread it lightly on to the foreseeable 8 slices of the pizza. Do the same with ricotta cheese. Place back in the oven for 3-4 minutes.
3. Place strawberry, kiwi, banana slices carefully at random spots all over the pizza. Sprinkle chia seeds, sunflower seeds and shaved dark chocolate on top.
4. Cut the pizza into 8 pieces and serve. Spread the love!

Berry Chia Pudding:

1. Make Berry Chia Pudding the night before. Place yogurt and chia seeds in a bowl and stir until combined. Take 1/4 cup of berries and mash them in a bowl with a fork. Stir the mashed berries into the mixture. Place the container in the refrigerator and leave it overnight. The mixture will thicken.
2. Arrange layers in a mason jar: Place half of the berry chia pudding on the bottom layer. Then, place jam on the second layer. Carefully place granola on the third layer. Add other half of berry chia pudding on the fourth layer. Put more granola, then drizzle peanut butter on top layer.
